Another feature that has made the game more helpful and accessible is that when a player loads an already saved game, he is shown the last four important events that the player did before saving the game. New game mechanics for ‘in battle’ as well as ‘out battle’ have also been included in this enhanced version of the game.

The Game Cube Link Cable which allows the payers to store the pokemon and trade them is also compatible with the game.

Game Plot

Pokemon FireRed is set-up in the region of Kanto, which includes several cities, localities and different routes. While some of the areas are easily accessible, some require special access, such as clearing a quest or a special ability to unlock that particular area. The game also allows you to choose your gender as the protagonist in the Pallet Town (this feature was not available in the original versions). ‘Professor Oak’ invites both the player as well the opponent in his lab to begin by choosing the first Pokemon that can either be Bulbasaur, Squirtle or Charmander. However, the opponent can choose a Pokemon superior to the one chosen by the player. After that, both player and the opponent start the game battle to become the Pokemon trainer and eventually defeat all the eight gym leaders to earn their gym badge. After acquiring all the eight badges, the player can then battle against the Elite Four to become the ultimate champion.

While all this adventure is going on, the player is constantly disturbed by ‘Team Rocket’, which is an evil group that misuses the pokemon led by their naughty and mischievous leader ‘Giovanni’ and battles against them.

Pokemon FireRed GameShark Codes

While playing your favorite game, you can always use some Pokemon FireRed Cheats, which are nothing but the cheat codes that can be given as input with a Game Shark device in your Pokemon FireRed game. In simple terms, these fire red cheats allow you to do special things and get extra goodies such as, get several limited and uncommon candies, get a chance to meet a famous Pokemon, get a lot of master balls, walk-through walls and a lot of other exciting stuff.

You only need a GameShark device to use these cheat codes if you are playing the original version of the Pokemon game and if you are playing on an emulator, then you only need the cheat codes and no Gameshark device.

Before using the GameShark codes, keep a note of the following things:

  •         Don’t use too many codes together in the game, as this may cause the game to crash and in the worst case scenario, you may need to start the game from the beginning.
  •         Before using any code, remember to save the game progress, because if anything goes wrong, you may get to start with the last saved version of the game without any codes.
  •         Always remember to turn the cheats off, once you have used them in your game.

Here are some cheat codes that are used in the game:

  •         To get rare candies
  •         To get unlimited Master Balls
  •         To walk through the walls
  •         To catch the pokemon of the opponent.
  •         Get unlimited money in the game.
  •         Increase the probability of catching the pokemon easily.
  •         Enable your bike to ride on the water.
