According to iD Mobile -- Carphone Warehouse's own phone network -- more than a quarter of mobile phone users go over their data allowance every month.

Which might explain why our price per MB average is so high.

To help out people on its network who might go over, iD has announced a 'data boost event', in which you can grab up to 50GB of extra allowance across a range of phones including the Samsung Galaxy S10.

It's a decently clever idea: the deals add a 'pot' of extra data to your plan that you can dip into anytime.

It automatically kicks in if you go over your allowance, which is nice.

It doesn't seem to include existing customers, though, which is not so nice.
