The Hunt for a Stylish Smartphone

Before the invention of the mobile phone, there was the telephone. Telephone manufacturers understood after some time that people expect their devices to be aesthetic. Hence began the race of making the telephone more charming.

There were a couple of basic variations: a boxy frame, a curvy frame, and one with a fancy dial, and each of them became popular among different sets of people.

But with smartphones, it’s a completely different ballgame. Unlike telephone manufacturers, smartphone brands don’t have great freedom while designing a smartphone. They cannot go overboard and come up with a flashy design unless they’re looking for a disaster.

The basic form factor of a modern smartphone is nearly pre-decided: a touchscreen covering most of the front of the smartphone, camera(s) on the rear and the front, and an audio jack and a charging port on either the top or the bottom. But a few brands are constantly innovating to bring out smartphones that are pleasing to the eye.

Why design matters?

If you manage to get yourself a smartphone which has incredible specifications, but an ugly design, you will not be considered a smart buyer. A good-looking smartphone acts as a style statement for you, making you feel more confident whenever you pull it out of your pocket or your handbag.
