Rockstar Games announced Thursday that Red Dead Redemption 2's online multiplayer mode, is getting a new game mode called Gun Rush, bringing a Fortnite-style battle royale to the Wild West.Red Dead Redemption 2 already had a similar survival mode with "Make it Count," in which players could use only bows and arrows, as the map size continuously shrunk. But Gun Rush takes it a little closer to Fortnite and other battle royale games by having 32 players drop in solo or in teams, gather guns and gear scattered around the map and then fight in an ever-closing area to be the last survivor(s) to win the game.According to a blog post from Rockstar, the Red Dead Online beta continues as the company listens to feedback and makes tweaks to improve the online experience over the coming months, amid continued concerns over the monetization practices with the online mode.New Races and Showdown game modes are in the works, along with new clothing, emotes and other tweaks. The company also plans to expand gameplay with new story missions, daily challenges and dynamic events throughout the world.

It also previewed Project Gemini, which spins off the brushes and brush engine from Photoshop into a drawing and painting app and Project Aero, the AR-creation app that briefly debuted onstage during Apple WWDC 2018 in June. And, oh yeah, there are updates to the desktop apps.Gemini is currently out in a limited, prerelease iOS-only trial. One of the most notable other changes Adobe made to CC involves fonts: It rebranded TypeKit to Adobe Fonts and changed the service so that CC plans include the complete library, all faces come in web and desktop variants, and there's no limit on the number you can sync or usage based on page views or domains. For its most recent mobile apps, Adobe has been using the code base of the desktop software and combining it with its Adobe Sensei AI architecture and cloud syncing to provide a coherent creation experience across all devices. It's not clear exactly how much of Photoshop's capabilities will make it into the iPad version, though it's definitely a targeted subset specifically for photo editing and compositing, supplying blending options, adjustment layers, layer masks and support for a lot of layers.

"Make sure you play your video game," is not something you commonly hear parents say to kids.Amblyotech just filed for U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for these games to help treat "lazy eye," which is the lazier way of saying amblyopia.Amblyopia is when the one of your eye's vision is reduced because, as the National Eye Institute (NEI) describes, "the eye and the brain are not working together properly."In this condition which affects 3% of children, your brain favors using one eye over the other (assuming that you only have two eyes), perhaps because your eyes are misaligned (also called strabismus) or the vision in one eye is impaired. The most common treatment is to wear a patch over the better eye each day for two to six hours for weeks to months, forcing the lazier eye to do more work.As a kid, you may not tolerate or accept such as treatment, especially with the constant pirate remarks from other kids.
