For almost a year then went Evry victorious from the city of Stockholm procurement of it support for its administration.the Agreement, which is six plus two plus two plus two years has a total value estimated at around sek 3 billion. Now confirm, however, Evry one acted and the aims that the matter should be heard in the Supreme administrative court, a body which is, however, very rarely grants leave to appeal for upphandlingsmål.the Reason that evry's tender has ratats in both instances, it is which can be considered as the most expensive letters as the business written down on paper during the last few years – or rather, not written down. From the request to participate is clear, however, that when providers submit an application as a group, they must also attach a copy of a partnership agreement which sets out which persons have the right to represent the group.the Bill for the city of Stockholm risk to become 76 million more expensive per year.
We’ve been waiting a long time for Microsoft to give its Surface Book a proper upgrade, and it arrived today in the form of the - you guessed it - Surface Book 2.There are all new and much more powerful 13in models, but the headline-grabber here is the stupidly powerful 15in variant. On the outside it just looks like a blown up version of its little bro, but this beast is kitted with an 8th-Gen Quad-Core i7-8650U (as standard), while a GTX 1060 and 6GB of video RAM means it will handle your Xbox games without breaking a sweat, and we’re not just talking about puny 2D platformers.Elsewhere, there’s a redesigned hinge to reduce screen wobble when you’re in laptop mode, a better backlit keyboard, USB-C and the promise of a MacBook Pro-crushing 17 hours of battery life across the board. The scary bit, predictably, is price. The entry-level core i7-kitted 13in model, backed by GTX 1050 and 2GB of graphics memory, clocks in at £1,499/$1,499, but the big guy will set you back an eye-watering £2,999/$2,999.
“Education, education, education”, is key to the continued growth of digital investment in Asia Pacific, says Tapad vice president and Asia Pacific lead Henry Schenker.Speaking ahead of The Drum Digital Trading Awards, of which Tapad is a partner, he voiced hopes that data wouldn’t be seen as an expensive investment and that attribution would start to be taken as seriously as it is in the US and Europe.Additionally, IPONWEB general manager for Asia Pacific, Ryan Pestano, said for the digital and programmatic ecosystem to have a virtuous cycle of growth in Asia Pacific, more local tech, data and media need to be fostered.Digital spend varies across markets in Asia Pacific but what level is the investment in the market(s) you look after and how has that changed?Tapad’s priority markets have remained fairly consistent since we opened our APAC headquarters in Singapore roughly 14 months ago.For example, as a result of seeing more and more investment into digital in Vietnam, we shifted our strategy to focus more on that country.

When parents are expecting their first child, at some point during the nine-month waiting process, they naturally start to wonder what combination of traits the kid is likely to receive from each parent. It’s the kind of wonderful mystery that you’ll have to watch unfold in real time; patiently spending each day with the tiny bundle of joy as he or she grows into the person they will eventually become.Or you could just pay $349 to a company called HumanCode who will tell you the whole thing up front via mobile app!HumanCode’s creation is something called BabyGlimpse, a DNA-powered service which promises to let couples discover the genetic-related traits their children may inherit.Describing itself as the “brighter side of personal genomics,” BabyGlimpse offers users an at-home collection kit so that both parents can a saliva sample for DNA testing. This saliva sample is then processed at a DNA sequencing lab, before feeding back to you the relevant genomic information pertinent to your offspring.
It's the same software environment.Basically the way you access data, provision resources, run applications, store data and so forth are exactly the same whether you are doing so on the on-premises end of your hybrid cloud or the off-premises public cloud part. There is a seamless cloud fabric, so to speak, providing your IT resources and those resources are on or off-premises as circumstances dictate. The off-premises option may be used for compute bursting, archiving cold data and transitory test-and-dev needs, with on-premises being the choice for high-security and the lowest latency. To that extent a strong growth in such closed hybrid cloud environments limits growth opportunities for other suppliers. What does this mean for mainstream providers such as Amazon, Cisco, Dell EMC, Google, HPE, Huawei, IBM, Lenovo, NetApp, Nutanix Pure Storage and Vantara?
The world is full of trash.Look a little closer to the ground, kick some grass aside, and you’ll find flattened cylinders dug into the dirt.It takes over a decade for a filter to degrade, which means a kid could play at the park next to the same discarded butt from childhood to adolescence.Despite thumb-sized brains, they’re sophisticated thinkers and tinkerers, fastening rods out of sticks to “fish” insects and larvae out of tree bark. With all those smarts, crows are highly trainable, which is why the Dutch team decided to focus on these feathered friends as the clean up crew.Van der Vleuten and Spikman didn’t initially consider crows.

Three of the big industry trade groups representing the digital advertising ecosystem are hoping to gain support for a “self-regulatory” program for the digital advertising industry to protect itself from the rise of ad blockers and rogue actions of the likes of Apple. The 4As, ANA and IAB have asked the Coalition for Better Ads (CBA) — an industry group formed in part by these three trade groups and its members to address ad blocking — to adopt “The Better Ads Experience Program.” Under the new program, digital ad sellers, buyers and intermediaries would pledge to comply with the Coalition for Better Ads’ standards for digital advertising. The Better Ads Standards set forth by the Coalition for Better Ads aim to address the worst aspects of digital advertising in order to stem the tide of ad blockers. In the letter addressed to the Coalition for Better Ads, the CEOs of the ANA, 4As and IAB wrote:Because the Coalition’s research identified clear correlations between a set of poor advertising experiences and consumers’ propensity to download and implement ad-blocking software, we believe it is urgent for the industry to coalesce around a program to realize these initial standards fully in practice across the marketing-media ecosystem.Another reason the CEOs call for the “industry to coalesce” around an industrywide self-regulatory program is to combat the “fragmented ‘regulatory’ regimes by dominant platforms such as Apple, which implemented Intelligent Tracking Prevention in the Safari 11 to limit retargeting, much to the industry’s chagrin.
The Nokia 9 is rumored to be the next Nokia flagship and it could arrive this year, yet we haven’t seen many images of it.That is, until now, because numerous renders of the phone have just been shared.Based on computer-aided design (CAD) files, and created by reputable leaker @OnLeaks for CompareRaja, the images show both a curved screen and a curved back, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. It’s not totally clear what the back of the phone is made from, but in an earlier leak it looks to be glass, while other details – all of which match what we’ve seen before – include a fingerprint scanner on the back and a dual-lens rear camera.Between an S7 Edge and an S8The dimensions are apparently 140.9 x 72.9 x 7.5mm, which would make the Nokia 9 shorter than the 150.9 x 72.6 x 7.7mm Galaxy S7 Edge, suggesting the Nokia 9 might have smaller bezels above and below the display, since the screen is rumored to be the same size at 5.5 inches.
Early tomorrow, a small asteroid will zip past Earth well inside the Moon’s orbit. The asteroid is called 2012 TC4, and it measures somewhere between 50 to 100 feet in length (that’s about 50 to 70 metres). Its closest approach will happen over Antarctica at 6:42 am GMT on Thursday 12th October, at which time it’ll be approximately 26,000 miles (42,000 km) from Earth. That distance puts it a tenth of the distance between Earth and the Moon, and just above the upper orbital planes of our most distant artificial satellites. There’s no chance that 2012 TC4 will impact our planet, and for what it’s worth, no currently known asteroid is predicted to impact Earth for the next one hundred years. The key term here being “currently known.” Every once in a while an asteroid zooms by that we never saw before, causing the hairs on the back of our collective necks to stand on end.

Mark Zuckerberg has announced a new virtual reality headset: Oculus Go, a cord-free device designed to "bridge the gap" between powerful PC-connected headsets and portable mobile-powered ones. When it ships early next year, the $199 Oculus Go will be the VR firm's first standalone product.Speaking at Oculus Connect, the Facebook-owned VR firm's annual developer conference in San Jose, Zuckerberg reaffirmed his commitment to VR, saying, "When we run up against the limits of reality, VR is going to make our reality."His goal, he told the audience, was to bring a billion people into VR.Affordable VR headsets such as Google's Daydream and Samsung's Gear VR currently need to be powered by a PC or a smartphone.Oculus Go will need neither.

A completely new kind of atomic clock could change the way we calculate time.Unlike an atomic clock, which uses independent atoms to measure one second, the new quantum gas squeezes atoms together to measure time more accurately than ever before.Standard atomic clocks use thousands of ticking caesium atoms, which behave and are measured largely independently. In the new device, strontium atoms are huddled into a tiny three-dimensional cube at 1,000 times the density of previous one-dimensional clocks. This is what is called a quantum gas, and the atoms in such a gas are much more in sync than otherwise, meaning the clock's ticks stay pure and stable for an unusually long time. This is the key to achieving increasingly accurate time-measurement.
