Changing business models with Internet of Things

Business models typically define how the different business actors, channels, resources interact with each other producing profit.

IoT architecture consists of three layers, IoT devices, IoT platforms, and the network and these are not acting separately but connected continuously influencing each other in terms of the business process must be taken into consideration while discussing the ideal business model for companies offering or enjoying IoT solutions and another major impact that has been created by the Internet of Things is the amount of the data that it generating and will be multiplied exponentially in coming few years presenting both immense potential and acute challenges need an innovative and intelligent business model that is able to handle and utilize this enormous amount of data.

With smart cities and exponential rise in connected devices, no enterprises will be able to act alone and the products and services will become obsolete faster and every organization will be sharing the Internet of Things environment someway the quick fixes with streamlining the existing business model or a few changes in the old framework won't do.

Value capture will also be very different as IoT solutions or the businesses using IoT solutions will generate recurring revenue with the product or the services constantly updated incorporating new features and attributes or ancillaries like value-added services, subscriptions, applications rather than concentrating on simply selling the next product.
