A new 6,000 square metre park is being planned near Liverpool Street station, and we're wishing London would share its gorgeous green spaces a bit.

Planned for Exchange Square in Broadgate, where there was a Christmas ice skating rink recently, the new park is intended to include a water feature, an event space and a restaurant, as well as lots of lovely foliage for green-starved city workers.

The designs for the park were created by South London architecture Studio DSDHA, and will provide a new job for a head gardener.

They'll be in charge of the planting, landscaping and upkeep of the 1.5 acre space, which is a pretty sweet job in central London.

"We’re excited about the opportunity to create a new park at Broadgate that will help improve people’s wellbeing and that can be enjoyed by all the community."

The Broadgate area, built during the "greed is good" period of the 80s, is mid-refurb and has recently got some fancy new seating areas from the same architecture firm.
