Didi Mobility Japan, a taxi-hailing joint venture by China’s Didi Chuxing and Japan’s SoftBank, said it will expand its service to 13 cities across Japan, Reuters reports.

The company has launched in Tokyo and Kyoto today, with 10 more locations to follow in the current financial year.

The app was first rolled out in September 2018 in Osaka, where the company worked with 40 taxi firms in an increasingly crowded market for such apps.
