Changes to the ‘Future of Work have been happening rapidly over the last 25 years. However, the next decade is going to see an unprecedented impact because of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology. Many organizations are busy trying to understand how they can leverage Digital Disruption for business profitability and customer engagement. Very few have understood that it will create a significant disruption in the employee lifecycle and that challenges around attracting and retaining talent will increase. Often this approach is used to solve an immediate operational issue -example how can we improve diversity in our talent pipeline or offer employees an engaging wellness product. It is also being utilized by HR service providers( recruitment firms, talent consultancies, benefits providers) to experiment with potential additions to their product portfolio. The key advantage for a corporate is the ability to source great start-ups disrupting the workplace, get closer to them with minimal risk and optimize the time/effort needed to manage the process. The start-up involved has a unique opportunity to work with corporate without going in-house ( and getting sucked by the corporate’s demands). Being housed in an accelerator provides both parties with the advantages of a larger digital innovation ecosystem.

Forward-looking organizations have started realizing that they need to get active around learning and engaging with HR start-ups and the Human Capital Digital Innovation Hub is a great way for them to make a start.

The London based HRTP (HR Tech Partnership) runs a Human Capital Digital Innovation Hub to facilitate learning and adoption by corporates of agile start-ups around Talent and Workplace productivity. It also has a People Tech investment venture which funds early stage start-ups incorporating AI and leading-edge technology.
