Apple's AR glasses are rumoured to be on hold or cancelled according a translated report from DigiTimes but the jury is out on whether the story is legitimate.

DigiTimes has a mixed track record when it comes to rumours from inside sources, and the latest one suggests that the team working on Apple's AR glasses was disbanded back in May and reallocated to other projects.

The site calls it a "temporary termination" but not everyone is ready to take it at face value.

iOS developer Steve Troughton-Smith tweeted that this is "unlikely", due to a "huge amount of evidence" of support for Apple's AR glasses in iOS 13 "only a couple of months ago."
