How does PKD treatment in Ayurveda help you out?

Polycystic kidney disease is a genetic health disorder that causes a large number of cysts to grow in the body organs. These cysts grow in different body organs like liver, kidneys, pancreas or heart as well. But, generally, the cysts affect the kidneys more often. These fluid-filled cysts grow consistently and hence damage the entire tissue of the kidneys. Due to the increasing nature of the cysts, the size of the kidneys becomes larger than normal. Eventually, the condition can lead to kidney failure if it is left untreated. The condition needs early detection followed by a proper treatment so that to get cured. As allopathic treatment includes dialysis or organ transplant in order to stop this disease to not grow further but can’t cure it permanently. PKD treatment in Ayurveda is the best solution to cure this genetic kidney disorder permanently.

What are the signs of PKD?

In the condition of polycystic kidney disease, several symptoms can appear. Some of them are:

• Back or side pain
• Loss of hunger
• Increase in the size of abdomen
• Swelling in hands, feet or legs
• Swollen face or puffiness around the eyes
• High blood pressure
• Headache
• Feeling of abdomen fullness even without eating anything
• Blood in urine
• Kidney stones
• Reoccuring urinary tract infection

These signs indicate that your kidneys are badly ill and need adequate treatment immediately otherwise the condition can go worse and take the form of kidney failure.

Types of PKD

When it comes to the types of PKD, generally there are categorized into two types. These common forms of PKD are described below:

Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) - It is the most general form of polycystic kidney disease and around 90% of PKD patients are afflicted with this form of PKD. A patient can get this form of disease when one of his parents carries the gene of the disease. It is also called adult PKD as the symptoms of ADPKD are visible when one a patient reaches in his 30s.

Autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease (ARPKD)- It is a rare form of PKD and in which a person can get the disease only when both of his parents carry the abnormal gene of this disease. The symptoms of this form of PKD are more dangerous than ADPKD because the symptoms of this form appear even before birth or when a baby is in his mother’s abdomen. A baby faces many severe health complications as his cysts do not allow the organs to develop normally.

Difference between Autosomal dominant and Autosomal recessive PKD

When it comes to the difference between ADPKD and ARPKD, they are:

• Symptoms of ADPKD appear in the 30s while in ARPKD they can be seen right from birth
• An ADPKD patient can live up to a normal life-expectancy with a few medications but an ARPKD patient hardly survive to his adulthood without a proper treatment
• Every 9 out of 10 PKD patients are afflicted with ADPKD, remaining 1 is of ARPKD

These are some of the basic difference between Autosomal dominant and Autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease.

Most promising treatment for polycystic kidney disease

When it is asked about the treatment of polycystic kidney disease, the first name that comes in our mind is Allopathy. It is a modern treatment procedure that helps you to get rid of the complications of a health disorder. It aims to suppress the complications of a disease with the help of drug and chemical-based medications and some artificial treatment methods. So, there are many side-effects involved in this treatment method. If you look for allopathic treatment for treating polycystic kidney disease, it recommends medications, dialysis or organ transplant eventually. These treatment procedures are very complex in processing and time-consuming. But it’s not effective enough to cure the condition of polycystic kidney disease permanently.

On the other hand, Ayurvedic kidney disease treatment is more effective as compared to other treatment methods. Ayurveda is an ancient treatment method that aims to cure a health disorder from its root causes. The ayurvedic treatment uses natural herbs, diet and set of exercises in order to cure a health disorder permanently. PKD treatment in Ayurveda is the most promising treatment that uses the above-mentioned treatment principle. This treatment has the potential to cure this severe kidney disorder permanently and also helpful in restoring your health of the kidneys simultaneously.
