What are the things that my healthcare provider should be informed about before taking Branded Drug Tagrisso / Generic Osimertinib?
If you are allergic to this Osimertinib, your treatment should not include Tagrisso.
To be certain that Tagrisso is safe to use, tell your doctor if you ever had/have:
• A breathing disorder
• Eye problems
• A medical history of long QT syndrome in the family
• Electrolyte imbalance
This medication can harm the unborn baby if either parent are taking it.
For men, use effective birth control during your treatment with Osimertinib / Tagrisso and for at least 4 months after taking the last dose.
For women, use effective birth control during your treatment with Osimertinib / Tagrisso and for at least 6 weeks after taking the last dose. Do not take this medication if you are pregnant.
Contact your doctor immediately if pregnancy does occur while either partner was taking this medication.
It is unknown whether or not Osimertinib can pass through breast milk. As such, breastfeeding is not recommended during the treatment and at least 2 weeks after the last dose to prevent harm to the nursing baby.
