Batla House Encounter – When Political Mudslinging Blackened the Blood of a Martyred Policeman

This is not the first time when Congress has doubted India’s own institutions like armed forces, police and other bodies.

It was a high-level operation by the special cell of Delhi police in which two terrorists were killed on the spot and one brave inspector Mohan Chand Sharma got martyred.

Mr. Sharma was a much-decorated officer who was awarded the highest gallantry medal “Ashoka Chakra” on 26 January 2009 posthumously.

According to an Outlook India report, “In the 10 years since he joined the special cell, Inspector Sharma won six medals.

He had been involved in the operation that helped nail the men involved in the attack on Parliament and was credited with helping to kill 35 terrorists.”

However, the vote bank politics in the country made the mockery of the great sacrifice of this brave inspector.
