Hoodia Cactus Plant and The 60 Minutes Show

Though Hoodia resembles a cactus in  Up N Go Energy Review   many ways with its succulent trunk and appendages, there is actually no such thing as a Hoodia cactus plant. It's simply a plant. Hoodia grows only in the Kalahari desert in South Africa even though so fast thinking entrepreneurs are now trying to grow it in their backyards. Be careful because it's not the same thing.

The Hoodia plant has been around for many centuries while the San Tribe of South Africa benefited from its health and appetite suppressing benefits. They found that eating Hoodia during long hunting trips was good for many reasons including energy, loss of appetite and less need for water. Today Hoodia is highly lauded for its appetite suppressant feature and more and more research is being done on this amazing plant. This alone makes it a great weight loss product. People tend to get really excited about a new weight loss item and this is especially true if it shows no signs of major side effects.

Pure Hoodia Gordonii works well at controlling the appetite for several hours. It was even featured on the television show 60 Minutes when anchor Leslie Stahl went to the Kalahari desert with the sole reason of sampling the Hoodia plant. She was amazed at how good she felt, her appetite disappeared and she experienced no unwanted side effects. This exposure was part of the reason that consumers wanted to know more about Hoodia. At the moment, the company that owns the global rights to Hoodia is still working on extensive research studies before it will be rolled out on a massive scale. This could be good news for anyone struggling to lose weight and control their diet. Just remember that Hoodia is a plant, not a cactus.
