Causes of Congestive Heart Disease

One of the causes of congestive Protocole Contre Hypertension heart disease is when the heart's job as a pump has become inefficient. The blood's movement through the heart and the body slows down and the pressure in the organ increases. It fails to deliver blood rich in oxygen to the other organs in the body.

The chambers within the heart react by stretching in order to retain more blood to send through the body, or it may become stiff as well as thickened. This assists with the blood flow, but eventually the muscle walls will weaken and will no longer be able to pump strongly enough. When the heart's pumping ability is inefficient, the flow of blood from it slows down and this will cause a back-up of blood on the other side of the heart.

This will cause swelling or congestion within the tissues and hence the term 'congestive heart failure.' Many people who suffer from congestive heart failure will experience swelling of the lower body. Some of them will also experience fluid on the lungs and subsequent lung congestion. When this swelling and congestion happens, the kidneys will be affected and their efficiency will be compromised. This stops the filtering out of sodium which causes more swelling.
