I have heard of people losing 35 pounds in 2 months after working out for just these 4 minutes.

High intensity training like this has the effect on your body of turning it into a fat burning furnace so that you are burning fat at a higher rate long after the workout. If the Tabata protocol is too difficult for you to start out with remember this is just a format, you can apply it to anything. Take your time, rest longer in between sets. You will eventually get there.
