The boulevards of St. Petersburg are embellished with a few dozen statues of the most unmistakable individuals who have had their impact on the improvement of the city and left their blemish on its history and that of all humanity. 1. Monument to Catherine

The Monument to Catherine II, situated on Ostrovsky Square in St. Petersburg, was built up out of appreciation for Empress Catherine II in 1873. The Monument to Catherine II is a complex sculptural creation. The landmark was made a century later, under declaration of Alexander II. As one of the nation's most edified rulers, Catherine couldn't have picked a superior spot herself.

2Bronze Horseman

Bronze Horseman on Senatskaya Ploschad is the most acclaimed landmark to Peter the Great in St Petersburg, the city that he established and named. The design was dispatched by Catherine II, and as indicated by her arrangements Peter needed to show up as a Roman head and a victor with a pole and staff in his grasp.

3. Alexander Column
