Running shoes: Types & Budget

Running shoes need cushioning in forefoot and heel to absorb about four times your body weight per step. Also designed to protect your foot from different roads of different surfaces.

Basically 3 types of running shoes available: neutral arch, low arch, and high arch that affects the direction and severity of the way your foot rolls.

There are some big differences between EVA and rubber for outer soles for running shoes. Rubbers are great for protection and durability on natural surfaces, but it is quite heavy. On the other hand EVA is lightweight but can not provide adequate support if used as an outsole for those traversing rocky and rough trails.

A good quality running shoe can cost around $90 to $130. Learn more about running shoes here maxrunningshoes.
