Mount Kilimanjaro: An Eventful Journey

Mt. Kilimanjaro is a mythos spot. It is situated only 325km from the Equator. Folks starting from a 7yr old chap to a senior citizen of 89 yrs have climbed it. Apart from Kilimanjaro trekking, there are many more places to visit like national parks, diving, etc. Let’s discuss some of them as you scroll down.

  • Serengeti National Park

This park is famous for The Great Migration of two million wildebeest & Zebras. In search of food, they move clockwise around the Serengeti each year. For a lot of tourists, they come here after having a tough time to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.

  • Ngorongoro Crater 

On safari, you can hope to see almost all the animals you ever dreamt of. Permission granted for safari tour for only 6 AM to 4 PM. The biggest animals can be seen here.

  • Tarangire Park

You can see a huge load of animals in this park from June to October as they come in search of water. Largest elephants, Fringe-eared Oryx, Greater Kundu are the major attractions here for tourists.

  • Lake Manyara

Largest elephants, huge groups of Flamingos and the tree sleeping lion are a major attraction here.

  • Volcano National Park

If you wish to go nearby to some of the few remaining mountain Gorillas, then you might consider coming to this park in Rwanda. You have to trek till 2-5hrs to reach the gorillas. 

  • Snorkel Diving in Zanzibar Island

You will find green turtles, whale sharks, dolphins & humpback whales. On the Kichwani reed, you can dive 20 to 40m depending on the diver. Few lucky divers have even spotted Reef Shark & Manta rays. There is a lot more on this island to tour subject to your budget and time availability.
