- Hold & Shoot
Once you have created an account and connected with your friends, to begin a conversation, you have to take a snap first. You may take it by clicking on the circle icon at the bottom. Or, if you want to send a video message to someone, hold that button to record the video.
- Saving Your Photos
Once you have taken a snap, you can save it to your device for future references. It can be done by simply clicking on the icon which is at the bottom of the screen immediate right to the timer button. Doing so will let the clicked photo get saved in the device’s internal memory.
- Set the Timer for Images
Before sending a snap to any of your friends, you can set a time limit for the particular image. It can be done by clicking at the bottom left corner of your screen on the stopwatch like icon. You can set the time limit from 1 second to 10 seconds. It depends on you for how much time duration you want the image to appear. Once you have set it, the other user will be able to see your photo for that specific time interval only.
- Adding More Details
After clicking the picture, you can add text for a caption on the top of your image. You may do it by tapping the center of the image. After typing the text, you may change the font size of the text if you want to increase or decrease the font size or move it to a place where you want to set it. After you have set the caption at a particular place, you can also change the color and style of the text by tapping on the “T” icon which you will find at the top of your screen. Once you tap on the icon, you will find a pop-up menu appear on the screen related to font style and colors. You can then set a specific color for your text or the desired font style. It is an option which currently only Android users are getting.
- How to Send the Clicked Image?
After editing your image and adding a required caption, you can send it to your friends by simply clicking on the arrow icon bottom right corner of your screen. On clicking the icon, the list of the people will appear. You may check out all the people whom you want to send the image and by doing so, click on the arrow on the bottom right corner of the screen again, to send it to the selected users.
- Discover Videos
To see what other users are up to, you can check their videos in the news feeds. You can discover the videos by simply swiping the screen to the left of the screen. By doing so, you will get the video of other users on your screen, by clicking on a particular video, you can watch it. If for some reason, you do not like the content, you can pull down to leave the discovered feeds, or you can again swipe left to refresh it with new material. If you want to send any of the videos to your friends you can press and hold on that video to send it.
- Snapchat for Groups
You can have Snapchat for group chat as well. Open the chat screen and the select number of friends you want to add and then click on the chat button. It will create a room for you and your friends to have a group discussion where you all can send images, text, videos etc.
- Snapchat for Audio & Video Calling
You can have Snapchat for both audios as well as video calling. For audio calling, you can click on the phone icon in the message section. Your friend will receive an incoming call alert notification regarding the call if they have turned on the notifications for Snapchat. For video calling, you may tap on the camera icon in the message screen in the DM.
