GOOD HABITS FOR YOUR ORAL CAVITY

For a happy and healthy lifestyle, maintaining your oral health and hygiene is very important. Negligence of oral cavity maintenance may lead to enamel corrosion and weakening of the outer tooth surface caused by acids in the mouth. To strengthen your teeth, you'll first need to execute good oral hygiene practices that help you avoid dental issues, as well as enamel erosion. Here are some tips for making your teeth strong.

BRUSH PROPERLY TWICE A DAY

Strengthening teeth starts with daily proper brushing. Doctors recommend brushing twice a day with any fluoride toothpaste to keep your teeth hygienic and strong. A good toothbrush removes all germs and food particles from your teeth before they can throw in to enamel erosion. Doctors recommend using a soft-bristled toothbrush placed at a 45-degree angle along the rim of the gum line. At this angle, you can gently sweep plaque and leftover food particles away from the enamel surface. Brush in a back-and-forth action across two to three teeth at a time.

FLOSS EVERYDAY

Not only brushing, we should also use floss to remove food fragments and plaque from in between teeth. Begin with a strip of floss for about 18 inches long. Wind the thread around the middle fingers on each of your hands and pinch together with your thumbs. You'll have to keep 1 to 2 inches of floss between your hands. Then, you can gently guide the floss into each gap in between the adjacent teeth. After you guide the floss into the space, softly use a C-shaped movement to wipe against the enamel surface.

USE A FLUORIDE MOUTHRINSE AND TOOTHPASTE

Fluoride is a mineral that occurs naturally in many of the city water supplies and is used in oral care products, too. Fluoride toothpastes and mouth rinses are effective in strengthening teeth and preventing dental decay.

It is also recommended that make sure your toothpaste is fluoridated. After you wake up in the morning and right away before you go to bed are the best times to brush and apply fluoride.

GET A BALACED DIET

Doctors of Dental Clinic in Jodhpur encourage patients to eat a tooth-friendly, balanced diet, preventive sugar intake. While sugars are basic for proper body functions, they also feed the bacteria in the mouth, resulting in acid production. This acid production is answerable for erosion and tooth weakening. Choose foods such as whole grains, fruit, vegetables, lean proteins and low-fat dairy options for common oral health
