Updating Synaptics touchpad driver

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Tap on the start button to launch the Windows Power User Menu.

  4. Find the touchpad in the list. You will find it in the “Human Interface Devices” heading.

Set BIOS as Default

  1. Shut down your laptop completely.

  4. Run the BIOS Setup as default settings for your device.

  7. Now you need to restart your device and then log again.
 

Uninstall Touchpad Device

  1. Launch the Device Manager.
  2. Locate your touchpad in the “Mice and another pointing device” or “Human Interface device.”
  3. Right-tap on it and click “Uninstall Device” in the context menu.
  4. Confirm, and then follow the on-screen instruction.
  5. Now restart your device and check for improvements.

Install Synaptics Precision Touchpad Drivers

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. First, you need to download the Synaptics driver from your device.
  2. Select your desired folder and extract the contents here.
  3. Launch the device Manager.
  4. Find your Touchpad.
  5. Right-tap on it and click “Update driver.”
  6. Select “Browse my PC for driver software.”
  7. Click “Let me select in the list of available drivers on my computer.”
  8. Select “Have Disk” option.
  9. Select the “Browse” option.
  10. Go to “Synaptics Driver.”
  11. Click “Autorun.inf” and then select “Open.”
  12. Select the “Synaptics Pointing Device” button on your screen and then select “Next.”
  13. Select “Yes” if you wish to proceed.
  14. Now restart your PC and check for improvements.
