Protos Engineering is Facilitating Technology Transfer to Drive Indian Manufacturing to Global Competence

India is blessed with huge manpower. Then what keeps us away from achieving global supremacy? It is the knowledge and access to the right technology and building a capacity to supply to the world. With a change in perception, Indian manufacturers are moving towards investing in methods that make them independent, and if pandemic has taught us anything it is that the key to sustainability is self-sufficiency. Protos Engineering Co. Pvt. Ltd. is an experienced company providing the correct network for your business with the correct technology from all around the world and enables the expertized production of your dream product. Precisely Protos Engineering connects gives you the correct technology such as automation, machinery, etc from all around the world. In conversation with Machine MakerSameer Potdar, Vice President, Protos Engineering Co. Pvt. Ltd. discussed how there is a change in the way manufacturers have been operating over the years and how their company is indirectly creating a space for self-sufficiency.

The concept

Protos was established back in 1949, by a German businessman and later on taken over by Kapadia Family. The entire concept is to bring the right technology to the right people and provide all the essential related services to help them reduce dependency. The fields they serve range from aluminum castings, automation, robotics, and companies working for green energy, such as air-purifying etc. They also play a major role in providing tools to manufacturers.

They further deal with renewable energy, primarily in solar rooftop solutions. In addition to this Protos Engineering adds their expertise in solid waste management.

He further explained that initially acquiring these technologies in India is a difficult task as it lacks infrastructure and experience compared to German and European companies. Given these technologies need to be precise as are specially crafted to develop a successful product, Indians need these technologies and machinery to build a strong supply chain to eventually create their own source in the longer run.
