What Is Eat To Perform Program

My goodness. I’ve reviewed diet, after supplement, after powder, after program. Each one I review, rarely surprises me. Some I like. Most I find to be much of a muchness, with nothing new to bring to the table. Just a slightly different packaged program, pill, or powder. Then I took a look at Eat to Perform, and finally, I found something totally different and inspiring. So here’s how Eat to Perform works:

It’s a program of healthy eating and workouts that you sign up to. A coach then gets in touch with you and helps you to reach your goals—nothing fundamentally radical as yet. But as Eat to Perform refreshingly says – It’s not a 30-day sprint to a number on a scale. Your health is more important and you deserve more. Eat to Perform realizes the damaging and negative effect that dieting and undereating has on you over time. After a while, you want to eat everything in sight, and you can’t think of anything but food. It was refreshing to hear Eat to Perform swear on their platform and say that most diets leave you “fu*king starving.” I couldn’t have put it better myself. The program works by setting an undereat of around 300-600 calories per day achieved by eating healthy foods you enjoy and working out. This will deliver a weight loss of roughly ½ – 1 pound per week. There are always regular breaks from dieting. Yes, actual breaks. This allows you to break the negative cycle of feeling you have failed when you break a diet. And it also allows you to work on increasing your required energy intake. The coaches you are assigned are from a team all with nutrition qualifications. You can expect to reach a realistic goal weight slowly over time.

The Science behind the Eat To Perform Program

Break the cycle of bad diets

Eat to Perform is founded by Paul Nobles, who lost over 90 pounds. At the same time, he realized that he could break the cycle of bad diets with regular bursts of intense dieting. Paul went on to hire several experts. His own and his experts’ findings are continually evaluated. When you express an interest in the program, you get an almost 200-page ebook with the theories and conclusions. The diet works by filling out a survey, and you either start in Fat Loss mode or Performance Recomp. You then get to decide if you want a completely customized meal plan or whether you want to use a free meal plan template. The templates include meat-eaters, pescetarian, paleo, keto, vegetarian, and vegan. You also get the custom macro plan in the Eat to Perform app. Your coach will check in with you twice a week. They can give you a push when you need one and help you deal with stressful situations. You track your progress on the ETP app, which uses color-coding for ease. The cost of the ETP system is $69. The program can be canceled anytime if you’re not digging it, and every new client starts with a 2-week free trial before you commit. You can find out more or book a free trial at the Eat to Perform website.

How Does Eat To Perform Program Work

It works by having you eat around your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) to begin with. Paul explains that your TDEE is made up of your resting metabolic rate, the exercise you take, the amount used to digest your food, and your non-energy activity thermogenesis (NEAT). Paul explains that the main energy expenditure is made up of your RMR and NEAT. By eating less, he explains that you decrease your RMR and your food digestion energy rate, and you are on a constantly losing battle. Paul advises working near your TDEE to increase your RMR and to increase your muscle mass by shifting your workouts to less cardio and more lifting weights.

Freedom for yoyo dieting

The goal of Paul’s method is to increase muscle mass and TDEE and never to go too low with calories during fat loss phases. Even during fat loss phases there is a Super Day every 7-10 days when you can overeat by around 500 calories over your TDEE. For losing more substantial amounts of weight, the diet goes in a 6-week cycle of eating around the TDEE and building muscle and then 6 weeks of fat loss where the amount of calories consumed is below TDEE. People who are larger will have a higher TDEE for example around 3000 calories because they weigh 300 pounds. There is no reason for a person who needs 3000 calories to go to low-calorie diets of around 1500 calories or fewer. This is because they will still have a calorie deficit if they eat much higher amounts. And they can easily eat 2250 and lose a quarter of a pound a day. It’s certainly a novel approach that is not being practiced by other programs. Perhaps the main thing to be noted about this diet is that it is centered around exercise, and you’ll be exercising most days. This approach is only going to be suitable, therefore for people that have the time and ability to train. You won’t be expected to be anything more than a beginner, just capable of moving and lifting some weight. You’ll also need to be in it for the long haul. This is an approach that aims to educate and break the oppression and madness of yo-yo dieting.

Conclusion

All in all, this diet is a revelation. I have long believed that I go slightly mad whenever I ruthlessly diet off a stone pre-summer. And I wonder how on earth people manage to diet for more extended periods when they need to lose more than 20 pounds. ETP has recognized this and thus built into the program is an approach that allows you to have days off dieting so that you don’t go completely mad and can still stay on track knowing you are maintaining weight. And then when you’re ready for another intense burst you are good to go. Having someone alongside to help you out with a realistic approach and positivity is priceless. For $69 per month it’s certainly more expensive than slimming clubs. But if you are desperate to break the dieting cycle and want to lose weight once and for all, ETP could be the solution. You do, however, need to commit to a slower approach. Eat to perform has helped over 20,000 people since it was founded. I would strongly recommend this healthy approach over any other diet I’ve reviewed this year or ever, for that matter. Ten out of ten, finally, a realistic and healthy approach to dieting. Well done, Eat to perform.
