Delhi to Mumbai
Had cleared the foundation program of Chartered Accountancy and had just enrolled for IPCC initial class when Gangs of Wasseypur published and after viewing the Film I was persuaded to give theatre a try. After I started exploring, I got to learn about the National School of Drama (NSD), and after visiting the place, I understood it was not a cakewalk. I left my mind to join theatre when the Asmita Theatre group came as bliss to direct me to get an initial couple of years, followed by Prem Matiyani Productions where I was a part of epic plays for 1.5 years. Afterwards, I worked in Parsi plays under the mentorship of Heema Singh until I leapt faith to Mumbai after a learning battle of 5 years.

Ankit Bisht, Cinema as a huge moderate is more about technicalities and persistence you have to pick from a random distance and put into emotions that are the biggest task to overcome.
First Experience
(Smiles) I guess it was great in the first place, but later it became overpowering when I realized I had done something extraordinary as an expert. After I came out of this room, it was just like a flashback of how it all started using Wassepur and landed at watching myself onto the silver display. I felt a sense of achievement and explained to myself that this is just the beginning.
Preparation Call
Before the Film went to the floor, we did a two-month workshop to find out the local dialects, and it turned out to be a scene-wise workshop which took place under the guidance of Shashank Khaitan. Throughout the workshop, only I understood this to let my work speak, I have to comprehend that the undertone and practical approach of the personality and prepare myself so. I was not in a hurry to make myself look very prominent on the screen, and I believe that worked.
Reel to Real
Ankit Bisht, in real life, I am more relatable to Shreedhar's character, who's easy-going, chilled and fun-loving. When this project began, I believe Ishaan (Khattar) took the initial call of breaking the ice between all of us and we exchanged digits and started meeting casually for dinner and movies, and that helped us a lot to bring in the chemistry. The idea of living a character that you aren't in any way relatable in real life is exactly what made this movie a unique one for me personally.

I'm all Game for web series because it gives the character a considerable time to evolve and that’s what I love the most about this particular medium. It provides you with a range to play around and experiment with your character, and I think I am good at doing the same. I aspire to crack a deal shortly and live it.
