What is XANAX?

Xanax is a medicine used to treat sleeping problems and insomnia,

It is also called by the name Alprazolam.

Xanax (Alprazolam) 

Alprazolam  (Xanax) is a short-acting benzodiazepine. It is used in short term management of anxiety disorder or generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). It is generally taken by mouth. Dry mouth, headache, depression, sleepiness are the common side effects of Alprazolam.

 

Xanax works by decreasing abnormal excitement in the brain that people who experience anxiety suffer from. As a Benzodiazepine, Xanax acts on the brain and central nervous system to produce a calming effect and ease anxiety symptoms.
