What is Construction Technology?

Construction tech is a collection of innovative tools and machinery that has been modified and is being run by related software. These are the tools that are being used in actual construction sites that make use of automated and partially-automated equipment.

VR is now being utilized for specific training to employees and operators. Simulated experiences through virtual reality can significantly assist crane operators on how it would be like it is to work at a certain height and confined space such as a crane cabin.

They can learn and become skilled within a short period, sans the risk and cost of training in real-time on a real machine.

On the one hand, augmented reality can also be deployed on the job site as part of the system that will provide visual representation set against a real setting. A worker can go up to a specific area on the job site and, through his augmented reality glasses, can see a checklist of tasks and safety measures as he walks around and still sees real items mixed with images from his glasses.

Site Sensors

Site sensors are now being used in job sites to monitor essential conditions such as temperature, dust, and organic or chemical compound exposure. These sensors are related to the health safety of the workers. Similar to traffic cone technology, they serve as a warning if something is not right with the area. Also, data from these sensors are being collected and analyzed for productivity and safety measures.

Drones

Drones have already become an integral part of society today and have naturally become useful in construction sites. Mainly used for visual inspection and monitoring of site conditions, it has made work at a construction site less dangerous. It'sIt's not going to replace workers anytime soon, but they will be able to learn how to use drones for building and site inspections.
