How to Send Emails Using Siri?

Siri is Apple’s AI virtual assistant that can be used to perform various tasks on iOS and Mac devices. Most of the users use Siri to perform only basic tasks such as launching apps, web searches, asking jokes, opening files, etc. However, they don’t know that Siri can also control the Mail app. Siri not only helps you to send emails but also it can read email messages and answer them.

If you want to know more about how to use Siri to manage the Mail app, then follow these instructions carefully:

Asking Siri to Send New Emails

Here is how to send new emails via Siri:

  • First of all, you have to say “Hey, Siri” to turn on Apple’s Virtual Assistant: Siri.
  • Then, informat Siri that you wish to send new emails to save your time. For instance: “Send an email to John” or “Email Mary and Laura.”
  • Once you have requested Siri to send emails to the desired persons, select the email addresses you want to deliver your message if Siri provides you multiple options. You can also say, “send the email to Jacob at work.”  You have to mention the person to whom you want to send a message.
  • After that, you have to tell the subject of the message to Siri like “Lunch,” “Apps,” etc.
  • Next, tell Siri the contents of the email.
  • Wait for Siri to confirm the message’s content.
  • Hit the Send tab or say Yes to send your email.
  • In case you are not happy with your email, then tell Siri “change subject,” “add,” or “change the message.” You may also tell Siri to cancel in order to discard the email completely.

Getting Siri to Read your Unread Emails

Here are the guidelines to request Siri to read all your unread emails:

  • Firstly, say “Hey, Siri” to turn on the virtual assistant.
  • Then, ask Siri to read all your unread emails. Then Siri will cross-check for new emails and provide you a detailed audio overview of the same.
  • Hit an email to see it directly from the Mail app.
  • Note: You may also ask this assistant to check for unread emails from a particular contact. For instance, you can ask, “Do I have any new email from Jacob?”

Ask Siri for Responding to Emails

Here is how to ask Siri to answer your emails:

  • Get started by opening the Mail app on your device.
  • After that, hit the Inbox option.
  • Now, select a specific email you desire to answer.
  • Next, you have to say “Hey, Siri” to activate Siri.
  • Then, you need to ask Siri to “Respond to this Email.”
  • If you want to reply to a particular email, then ask the same to Siri.
  • After that, Siri will ask whether you are ready for sending the email message or not. If you agree, say, “Yes.”
  • Finally, hit the Send option once you are done.
  • You can also answer an email that Siri is reading to you. To do so, tap the mic icon from your device’s screen at the same time when the email subject is being read by Siri to turn on its listening mode and tell “Respond.”  Then, Siri will initiate a response to that particular message automatically.

Siri is undoubtedly one of the best AI assistants available in the digital market. It helps the users to perform several jobs by its premium listening and responding qualities. Apart from opening apps, launching files, and reading content, it can also control the Mail app with ease.
