Dual Marker Test - Maternal screen First-trimester

Pregnant women are recommended to get a double marker or dual marker test to detect any chromosomal abnormalities in the foetus. It is sometimes used to classify disorders in the infant, such as Edward's syndrome or Down's syndrome. In the first trimester, typically during the 9th-14th week of pregnancy, the Dual Marker Test is performed which includes a blood test.
