Betting It Right: Premier League Betting Tips

The Premier League has shown a lot of big surprises this season and it only means that the matches and title race are much more intense. Some say that the league has seen a power shift in the 2020-21 season, and that gives more chances for bettors to actually win prizes as well.

There were a lot of questions for the Premier League season as Liverpool entered the season and had a lot of injuries down the stretch in their early games. With the defending champions struggling hard, the doors were open for the other league contenders, such as Manchester City, Manchester United and Leicester City to step up bigger.

However, both Manchester clubs have struggled as well and proved to be a problem for the rest of the league. Clubs such as Everton, Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Chelsea stepped up big and took advantage of the recent struggles that the contenders are dealing with.

So far, Tottenham and Liverpool lead the title race this season. The Spurs have done well in riding behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min’s impressive pace, and it seems that they are primed for a big finish after falling short last season.

Liverpool, on the other hand, has been ravaged by injuries most notably to Alisson Becker. Despite that, the team still managed to fight their way into the top spot. So far, one can say that Jurgen Klopp’s squad has done really well in coping up with their mistakes and has clearly proved that the high line that they boast this season is fitting their play well.

One can remember that Liverpool finished with the Premier League title last season in an impressive manner. They outpaced the rest of the competition and eventually landed that title to break their 30-year drought. In addition, the Reds also won the Champions League, Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup as well.

However, it seems that the 2020-21 season won’t be much like a piece of cake as the Reds are in for a tough challenge compared to the previous run. Some say that there is going to be a lot of changes in terms of their pace, roster and even level of play.

This season would see a bigger pace in the Premier League, and so it means that bettors should be more careful when it comes to placing their wagers as there is no telling how the season would actually end. Depending on how the teams will go into the second half of the campaign, there may be some plot twists along the way and betting plans could be hampered right away.

Know your stats

The Premier League can be predicted in a way through the use of stats. There are a lot of goals scored in the game, and last season even saw an average of 2.72 goals scored in each of the 380 games that make up a single campaign.

That was a little bit far from the 2.82 goals per game that the 2018-19 season. With big strikers in the league such as Mohamed Salah, Sergio Aguero, and Kane taking a lot of punches at the net this season, one can say that the Premier League race is really about to get interesting as well.

Manchester City is the safest team to bet on this season if you are looking for a high-scoring game. The team scored 102 goals in 38 league games last season and proved that they thrive at home with 57. 76% of City’s games saw those big goals come in big numbers, and that means one can expect them to continue with the same level of play this season, at least until they shake off their struggles.

According to Premier League betting tips, another stat to look at is the frequency of scoring for both teams. More than half of league games played last season saw both teams punch a goal in the scoresheet. The Premier League is arguably the most intense football league in the world, and there’s no wonder why most clubs have what it takes to score the ball as they continue to thrive well.

Tottenham saw that stat come up in 66% of their matches, and Southampton did well to get over the same mark for scoring. Not every game is full of goals, but if you see a match played by two scoring machines, then you can bet that there would be at least one goal for each side at the end of the final whistle.

Predicting Premier League matches

The first point to consider in betting is the form of both teams in a game. That means you have to look at their pace, record and even the last five matches at the very least. Keeping a close eye to those stats can be the big difference between winning bets and losing it all.

One can say that it is safe to place wagers on a team that is playing at home. The likes of Liverpool, Tottenham, and Everton are safe examples of these clubs. Sides that aren’t that high on the table may be actually thriving well at home compared to their run on the road.

Also, the record plays a big role considering the fact that teams need to play stronger if they are contending for the title. Make sure you always take a look at the way they are playing. A team that is losing on their last five games might have a tough time in getting a win, but then you have to look at the fact that Premier League clubs are quite surprising as well and some results might shock you, such as Aston Villa’s 7-2 win over Liverpool last October.

Another way to predict matches is to see the roster of the team. A healthy club would mean bigger chances of winning, and an injury-riddled roster could prove to be quite hard to actually get a win. Make sure that you read other Premier League betting tips to get some research points before you actually place your bet.

Getting the best betting chances

Betting in the Premier League can be both rewarding and disastrous as well. Some say that placing wagers on Premier League games means taking risks in the long run. However, it is always interesting to test your luck and hope that your research is enough to see you win big prizes.

One way to get a head start in your research is to actually take a look at those match previews that sports sites release ahead of the game. These are helpful in giving you info on how a team is doing as a whole or even getting updates on a player’s status for the match.

Make sure you put a lot of time and effort into looking at those previews and the details per team. The more you know about the game, the better you can push for winning bets. After all, betting can actually mean a soundly sleep at night or a problem that would last for a week.

There are also many betting sites out there that may offer you the best odds, so make sure you take your time in researching all of those. Getting the best betting odds also means that you can have a big difference in winnings earned from one site to another

Betting on the Premier League table

The Premier League is not all about who wins the title, but also the teams who are going to qualify for the Champions League, Europa League and those who would get relegated. Every team has a chance to win the title, but when the second half of the season comes, that’s when the chances get slimmer.

Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Leicester City have proven to be some of the best teams with the best chances of winning the title. However, it seems that the league clearly has a shift in the balance with teams such as Everton, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Tottenham now joining the fray.

There are so many bets that you can place on the Premier League, and looking at the tight race, it won’t be that hard to predict who will finish in the top four, top ten, and the bottom three. Last season proved to be a boring end at the top spot with Liverpool putting a fine distance between the other clubs.

However, the relegation race proved to be a fine entertaining race instead. Watford, Bournemouth and Norwich got relegated. The battle for the last two safe spots was very intense and it had to go for the closing games of the Premier League before it was decided.

Betting in the Premier League means more chances of delivering wins in the end. One should prepare well and study the stats, record and more to ensure a winning bet.
