There are obvious hurdles to get over, bandwidth being one of them, but also making sure all of the systems are compatible with each other. anyone who works in computing will immediately raise an eyebrow whenever a universal document sharing is mentioned simply because there is a wealth of different technologies, all of which have to work together, reliably in order for it to work. It's a difficult task.
