The best option is what I call the Currumbin Loop or Blue Ocean Loop. This walk starts out the front of the complex and is visible from the balcony. You head south down this pathway and essentially keep following it through the Palm Beach Parklands area and then on through the nature reserve area complete with bush turkys and butterfly’s, then on along the Boardwalk through the wetlands area heading up Currumbin River. The Boardwalk offers great river front vistas up the river with hinterland views beyond. When the tide is in and the wetland area immersed in fresh seawater you can see many small fish swimming along and under the suspended walkway and occasionally a larger one swims under you, it can be a real novelty for the little ones.
Where the boardwalk ends turn left and follow the pathway markings along and under the Thrower Drive bridge and on past the skateboard activity park and then on past the Palm Beach Currumbin Sports Club and over a small bridge which leads to the walkway over the Currumbin River next to and parrallel to the Currumbin River freeway overpass.
