Toyota and Lexus System Updates for enhanced car-shopping experience

Toyota’s SmartPath and Lexus Monogram systems are changing to have an enhanced car-shopping experience. The world is digital and smarter and to make it more feasible upgrades are required to have a smooth car-buying experience.


They have added an online tool that works similarly when you buy a Toyota or Lexus car for sale.  This system is named by the Automakers i.e. for Lexus it is known as Monogram and Toyota SmartPath.  The pandemic has encouraged contact-less buying and online car-shopping.

The purpose of this program is to create 100% car-shopping online and at ease for Toyota and Lexus customers. Online car-shopping has seen a hike as people love hassle-free shopping and getting the vehicle delivered to the doorstep.

In 2019, Toyota introduced the SmartPath to connect with customers and deliver a smooth car-buying experience. The SmartPath will be available on Toyota websites, buyatoyota.com, authorized dealerships, and local dealerships websites.

The company has 1200 dealerships in the United States synced in SmartPath. It has another 50 dealerships that will be added later this spring. Lexus dealers are using the Monogram in the selected market through 2021. Monogram is used by very few dealerships and chances are the system will drift in 2021.

The changes and improvements in SmartPath and Monogram is the completion of purchase without stepping out from home. The transaction will be completely digital it has only one exception that is uploading the hand-written signature in some states.

The recurring changes in both the system will have Toyota Financial Services where they can prioritize car dealerships.  Car-shoppers can check dealer inventory and compare prices of two different dealerships.

The shopper can select the vehicle in the SmartPath and Monogram vehicles and can haggle over price. Toyota named it digital garage where they send the information to the salesperson and saves time. The system is optional for the dealerships to opt and pay Toyota and Lexus for the same.
