Instructions to Delete the Hotmail Cache and Auto-Complete Cache

Sort of... Hotmail or Outlook makes and saves cache files to your PC to make an instant service. Deleting Your Outlook Cache 

 

Clearing the cache in Outlook doesn't remove email messages, contacts, or other helpful info.

 

  •         At first, Save any work and shut down Outlook.
  •         Tap on your Windows key+R.
  •         In the Run dialog box you have to enter %localappdata%\Microsoft\Outlook and click on the Enter box.
  •         Now just Double tap on the RoamCache folder to see the cache files or documents.
  •         Back up the cache files or documents so you can restore the files if something turns out badly.
  •         To remove the cache files, click and hold the Shift key while choosing the entirety of the documents. At that point click on the Delete key button, or right-click the featured files and pick Delete option.
  •         Outlook automatically makes new cache files or records when you open Outlook.

 

Steps for Clearing Auto-Complete Cache 

If you just need to remove the auto-complete cache, either turn off auto-complete so the cached information doesn't show or clear the auto-complete cache totally.

 

  1.     Open the File tab and pick Options section.
  2.     Here in the Outlook Options box and pick the Mail tab.
  3.     Next, in the Send messages area, delete the Use Auto-Complete List to suggest names when composing in the To, Cc, and Bcc lines.
  4.     In case if you need to clear the auto-complete cache, pick Empty Auto-Complete List. In the affirmation dialog box, pick Yes button. 

Clear the cache to delete the auto-complete history without disabling the auto-complete element in Outlook.
