Building a Website? HTML or WordPress

As a web developer, I ask this question all the time - better used to build websites - WordPress or HTML?

Well, I'm here to tell you - it depends ...

There is no correct answer, because it depends on what you are looking for to use it, and what websites / web pages do you want to build.

1) As a special web programmer, I have many large web projects where WordPress will not be the best choice for the project. Most of these websites are the specific application system that I do and in this case either WordPress or HTML will be the right solution. These specific projects require dynamic programming using PHP, ASP with custom MySQL, MSSQL database, etc.

2) If you are looking to build a typical business website and get used to HTML programming, you can create a static HTML page for your website, or you can hire a programmer to build it for you.

But if you plan to add new content to your website regularly, or include a ongoing blog on your site, which is the best way to keep Google stay interested in your website and index you for search engines / html, then html can Boring and time consuming if you build it yourself, or expensive if you pay someone to make a change for you.

3) And, most typical websites need several common king functions such as contact forms, Google Maps, optin registration pages, etc. And unless you are experienced in programing this kind of things, WordPress is definitely a good choice.

For this type of need, WordPress makes a good choice because there are so many plugins that can help with most of your general needs as mentioned above, all without you having to worry about their own programming.

4) And the other big advantage of WordPress is that there are so many design templates that are open openly so that it can be much simpler for you to find the web design you like, without having to pay the web designer fee.

5) Now, if you want to do a simple extortion page or single product sales page, HTML might make sense if you can program it in it, because wordpress may be a little more than needed.

But, if the convenience and ease of use are important for you and you want to try creating your own website, then I would definitely suggest you try WordPress. And, if you decide that you prefer to hire someone to build it for you, there are many experienced professionals in using WordPress that can help you.
