Nanotechnology and Its Revolutionary Inventions

In the last two decades, evolution in the field of nanotechnology has reached a new level. Every innovation and invention contains different and unique methods, techniques, and implementation of advanced formulas. Several products and their different forms are developed to provide real-life benefits to different fields of work. One of the most advanced and reliable nanotechnology products is graphene. It is single-layer graphite that is made with million carbon atoms combined.

Why Graphene?

Graphene is a substance that has multiple excellent properties, and its every property always fulfills the desired condition to make the workflow more efficient. Looking at its properties, it is lighter, durable, more flexible, stronger, and highly conductive. In comparison with diamond, graphene is 200 times stronger than steel and 6 times lighter than it. This displays the kind of capability graphene has to change so many things. Also, when it comes to its conductivity, it is a highly conductive substance and even a better heat conductor than copper.

There are several products that are further developed with graphene to provide maximum efficiency. Some of these graphene powdered products are:

  • EMI shielding Material

With the help of graphene, EMI shielding material is developed which provides excellent electromagnetic shielding. Graphene absorber is used to prevent EMI in various heat and radiation sensible electronic devices. Graphene absorber is a thin, flexible, and lightweight sheet that has excellent thermal, mechanical, and electrical properties. It is also more practical and efficient due to its flexibility and it is also easy to cut or trim it into desired shape and size.

Because of its anti-corrosive nature, it is also used in various conditions and temperatures. The absorption of heat and electromagnetic radiation depends on the effective thickness of the absorber. The thickness of the absorber sheet ranges from 20-500 microns and it is capable to use at high temperatures of up to 400°C. The practicality of graphene absorber increase after it is tested and applied on various surfaces and different substrates. Along with this, several types of graphene absorber or armour are used such as eco armour, and elite armour.

  • Non-flammable batteries

For the last many years, lithium-ion batteries are used in electronic devices. However, there are many examples that showed the highly flammable nature of traditional lithium-ion batteries. So, with the help of graphene several companies developing non-flammable batteries that are lighter in weight, affordable, efficient, and safer to use. In real-life, the use of traditional batteries led to many accidents that cause million of losses. For instance, after the ban on Samsung Smartphone note 7, several mobile companies are now looking to use graphene powdered non-flammable batteries. Not only in mobile phones and electronic devices, but non-flammable batteries can also be used in electric vehicles.

Conclusion

With the evolution in nanotechnology, various products and innovations are developed that can provide more efficient working solutions. Some can provide excellent prevention from EMI and some can provide efficient energy solutions. Products like EMI shielding, non-flammable batteries, conductive wire glue have the potential to bring a revolutionary change in the industrial working operations.
