CLAT 2021 exam dates and notification has been released.  Exam is on 23rd June and application closes on March 31st.

The legal profession, both as an independent practicing advocate or plum roles in legal division of corporates, has always attracted students from all streams of subjects. While earlier, the trend was more of arts and commerce students rushing for LLB, today increasing numbers of science streamers are opting for law as a career.

Having said this, clearing the law entrance is no cakewalk. It requires rigorous preparation and commitment right from the beginning of the plus two academic year. The question now is to have the right CLAT Exam Preparation Strategy so that one can pass the exam with good scores.

Remember, similar to other competitive entrance exams, CLAT selection is also based on scores. So, higher the score, better! There are 150 objective type Multiple Choice Questions to be attempted in a span of two hours.  The subjects from which questions will be asked in the exam, include – current affairs, legal reasoning, English language tests, logical skills, and quantitative aptitude. The maximum emphasis will be on legal, current affairs. This is the typical structure of the CLAT syllabus and exam pattern. Deductive reasoning ability, quick reading and comprehension skills are crucial to crack this exam.

Before stepping into the exam preparation part, it is necessary to know about the CLAT/LLB.Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria. The CLAT is a five-year law professional graduation course and its entrance exams can be attempted only by those who are in their final year higher secondary school. The cut off mark is 45% for general category and 40% for S.C S. T students, in their plus two exams There is no three year course at National Law Schools through CLAT. Clearing the exam secures admission to any of the twenty-two National Law Schools, across the country, including NUALS Cochin. The passing scores varies from year to year, based on relative performance. Seat assurance to these prestigious colleges is totally on competitive scores. Students who get selected have to produce their HSE / Plus two pass certificate at the time of admission.
