How Insulation Works | Stuart Burchill

Insulation includes three steps – Conduction, Convection, and Radiation.

Conduction – Flowing of heat in solid materials.

Convection – Flowing of heat through liquid and gases

Radiation – Straight line of heat that affects any solid material.

Insulation works by decreasing the heat flow in conduction and convection. Radiant barriers are used to reflect radiant heat such as aluminum and plastic films.
