  • At the start, hit the hamburger icon located at the bottom left edge of your screen or Facebook app.
  • Then, hit your name situated at the uppermost section of the opened window.
  • After that, press the three-dotted icon available towards the right-hand side portion of the Add Story tab.
  • Now, hit the Activity Log using the menu option.
  • At the upper right-hand side edge of your respective Activity Log, you can easily filter posts by category and year.
  • Then, choose the Category and Filter option for Posts.
  • Once you get the filter option on your device, hit the menu icon located just after the post you want to delete.
  • Press the Delete option to verify.

Note: You can also edit privacy or hide the same from the timeline on the menu. Removing posts is a permanent task, so it’s better to choose the hide posts option there.

For Android Device

Here are the guidelines to remove Facebook posts on an Android device:

  • At the start, use the Facebook app and then press the hamburger icon situated at the right-hand side edge of your page.
  • After that, click on your name situated at the uppermost section.
  • Reach next to the Add to Story tab. You will find a grey-colored option having three dots. Press on it to proceed.
  • Now, scroll down the page and hit the Manage Posts option.
  • Go to the upper-left edge and then press the Filters tab.
  • Choose the category to filter your respective posts from the available options like:
  • Tagged
  • Posted By
  • Date
  • Go rightward direction of each post, and press the bubbled tab to apply your desired category.
  • Now, press the trash icon located at the bottom left portion of your window.

Using Browser to Remove Facebook Posts in Bulk

In case you want to remove all your Facebook posts, then you must need a web browser and a reliable extension. You can easily delete your posts at any time in bulk using the browser.

You can choose an extension like “Social Book Post Manager” to make the removal process smooth and quick.

Taking Backup of all the Important Files and folders

Before going through any process to delete your posts, it is recommended to create a complete backup of all the necessary data and files to avoid mishaps or data loss.

Here is how to create a backup:

  • First of all, go to the page of Account Settings.
  • Once you reached the respective page, choose the Facebook Information option by navigating the left-hand side menu. You will see an option with the name “Download Your Information.”
  • Press the Create File option and then follow all the necessary prompts. Now, your Facebook account will start creating file backup related to all your data. Once the backup download completes successfully, you will be intimated via email.

Deleting Facebook Posts via Social Book Post Manager Extension

Once you have successfully backup all your important files and data, then you can easily remove several posts using Social Book Post Manager Extension.  Follow these steps to do the same:

  • At the start, install the extension of Social Book Post Manager.
  • Open your Facebook account and then hit the Activity Log window. With Activity Log, you can see all your Facebook activity.
  • Now, go to the Filter section and then choose the item you like to remove from filtering the list. Here, you need to hit the Posts option.
  • After that, launch the Social Book Post Manager extension by hitting the relevant icon located at the upper-right edge of your Google Chrome web browser.
  • Now, select the post you like to delete.
  • Hit the confirm tab there.

Facebook posts are very important for most users as they contain some important notes and information. Still, if you have unnecessary posts on your device that clutters your device storage, then you should delete them individually or in groups. For one by one removal process, you can use the Facebook app, and for group or cluster removal of your posts, use browser extension like Social Book Post Manager, go to Activity Log, choose the post there, and then hit the Delete option.
