The course work for the Amount of Mass Communication is based around the core courses required for a Bachelor of Science in Communication. At least one year must be spent studying the core classes of communication, public relations, psychology, sociology, and marketing Julian Narchet. Three years of specific course work also needs to be taken during the program at least once. In the second year, students will take general education courses, electives, and possibly a couple of the interdisciplinary courses offered to students seeking degrees in the various areas of mass communication. Using a Master of Science in Professional Mass Communication, you are able to pursue a variety of jobs which use communication. You may choose to work as a communication director for a public relations firm. You might choose to be a data manager for a publishing company, a production planner for a radio channel, or a news reporter. You could even set up a consultancy that provides strategic planning, management consulting services, or communications strategy development. The course work for each one of these positions will vary, but all of them require good communication abilities.

A variety of employers search for candidates who have a degree in mass communication. The ability to communicate concisely and efficiently is important for positions like copyediting, content writing, press exposure, public relations, advertising, and education. You must be detail oriented and willing to work within a rigorous schedule. Since nearly all of your job will be done on the telephone, you must have excellent organizational abilities. If you are not willing to adapt to some pristine surroundings, this might not be the best field for you.
