Siri is one of the best AI service providers to its registered users. It works on voice assistance on several Apple devices. It enables the user to connect quickly with the desired recipient without using your finger and keeping the phone in hand. It makes several jobs very easy, like making phone calls, sending text or mails, sharing files.

One such interesting thing is to create and share reminders using Siri. It provides a user-friendly interface and takes very little time to do this job for you. You can instruct Siri to create your To-do list and set up reminder so that you won’t miss any meetings, or even shopping using reminder list. You can manually add reminders using Apple built-in Reminder app, but when it comes to adding a new entry to the reminders list, Siri is the quickest way. It’s an easy and handy platform to manage all your tasks, manage or display your to-do or reminder’s list right on your device.

Here is how to activate Siri and set your desired reminder on your device.

How to Activate Siri on Your Device?

Before instructing Siri to perform its job for adding or managing your reminder, you need to turn on Siri assistance on your iPhone. Here’s how:

  • First of all, open the Settings app right on your iPhone screen.

  • Then, choose the option Siri and Select.

  • Hit the slider: Listen for “Hey Siri.” Then enable it on your device. Make sure that the green light starts to flash.

  • Tap the slider that says “Press Side button for Siri” to enable it on your device.

  • Now, choose the option My Information and then select the Contact card there.

Creating Time-based Reminder Using Siri

The quickest way to perform your job using Siri is to set up an instant reminder for upcoming task. It is always recommended to use Siri for setting reminder than going to the Reminders app manually as Siri is one of the quickest ways to do most of the job.

Here is how to create a time-based reminder using Siri:

  • First of all, you need to activate Siri by saying “Hey, Siri,” if you have not already enabled it.

  • Now, say aloud what you like to be reminded about. You have to say when you like to get reminded regarding the particular task. For instance: Remind me to call Chris at 7 am.

  • Next, hit the Remove tab to discard a reminder.

  • Once you have created your reminder, then it will go to the default’s list. It might be a reminder or whatever list you have set as your default one in your Settings app.

Creating Location-Based Reminder Using Siri

As your device knows your location, you can easily set up the reminder depending on your accurate location. Here are the steps to do the same:

  • First of all, you need to say “Hey, Siri” to enable your voice-based personal assistant.

  • Then, you need to tell Siri about your reminder, including the location where you like to be reminded.

  • For instance: “Please remind me to purchase one liter of milk from the market on the way home,” etc.

  • Hit the Remove button to cancel your reminder.

Note: The location-based reminder will also go to the default Reminders list, just like the standard reminders. In case you made a mistake accidentally or desires to revise something instantly, then you have to ask Siri to “change the title of your reminder,” “change the time to.” You can also request Siri to cancel the particular listed task if you don’t want the same.

Creating reminder in a Specific List using Siri

You can easily request Siri to make modifications or create a to-do item for a specific list if you have multiple lists in the Reminder app like party list, shopping list, packing list, etc. In this case, you need to tell Siri what to add and in which list.

To add something as a reminder in a specific list using Siri, follow these instructions carefully:

  • First of all, you need to say, “Hey, Siri.”

  • After that, you have to inform Siri about the thing or task you want to be reminded in future, including the name of the list you like to go for. E.g., “Add biscuit to my grocery shopping list.” In case the list doesn’t exist in the Reminders app, Siri will ask your consent whether you like to create a new list or not?

  • Hit the Remove button there to cancel your reminder.

  • After some time, the particular reminder will be automatically placed in the list you have specified.

Using Siri to Remember Things from Apps

Once you invoke Siri on your device, it will ask you about “this.” It is almost anything you like to open on your device.

If you want to use Siri to get remembered of the desired things using apps, then follow these straightforward steps:

  • First of all, visit the content for which you like to be remembered, such as a song or web-link.

  • Now, say “Hey, Siri” in order to activate your assistant.

  • Next, tell, “Remind me of this.”

  • After a while, Siri will add your requested item to the Reminders app using a link.

Siri is a popular and useful personal assistant used to perform several jobs on many supportive devices. You can easily ask Siri anything or create and share your reminder with others. You can set both: the time and the location-based reminders using Siri.
