In a big step towards technological cooperation, Microsoft is giving better “AirPods” support in Windows. And, it is indeed a piece of positive news for both Windows and Apple users.

Microsoft has included some massive revamps and alterations in Windows, a noteworthy overhaul that Microsoft decided to undergo. And one of the interesting changes brought by Microsoft includes alterations in audio endpoints and Bluetooth support. The Verge has recently covered the story and has reported that the users can observe these in the “Insider preview build” of Windows 10.

Some tech experts added that several impressive key changes need to be addressed, but two major ones consist of adding programming codes for AAC, which is an acronym for Advanced Audio Codec, over Bluetooth. In the present mode, Windows can only back SBC and AptX modes over Bluetooth. And, users who use Apple products, and especially the pair of earphones called “AirPods,” know for a fact that only AAC (Advanced Audio Codec) is an automatic compression codec for those devices.

Now, you may ask what AAC is? For the firsts, it is the most pre-eminent user audio format, and it is a data compression format to generate small file sizes. Furthermore, many users have opinionated that AAC also makes the base and music experience much more effective and immersing. Hence, AAC is an ideal compression codec for listening to music.

Now, it is imperative to shed light on the fact that Microsoft is also overhauling its modus operandi to display audio endpoints. Previously, Microsoft used to display several different endpoints of the solitary device, and now instead, it will be displayed as one whole endpoint. Take a real-life example to see it in perspective; if you connect your pair of the auditory device to your Windows PC laptop, you will notice that it will display four devices despite only a single device connected to the 3.5mm port.

However, once you update your system, the latest changes introduced by Microsoft Windows would start to emerge. If you download the updates, you will notice that only an endpoint will be visible in the volume drop-down menu instead of four endpoints, which would massively aid users in manually configuring the settings without any confusion. Furthermore, Windows has also integrated a new feature in the audio system, which would detect the user’s activity and would configure the audio output accordingly. For example, Windows would offer different audio outputs for different activities; for example, your audio output will be different when listening to YouTube videos or songs, and it will be different when attending a Zoom meet or Webex call.

Apart from the above-mentioned updates, Microsoft has also revealed some impressive alterations in its official Microsoft Store to further enhance user convenience and make the site much more engaging and attractive. And, also, Microsoft is looking forward to the total revamp in the user interface of the Documents and Music.

Other updates in the Microsoft applications include user-enabled color more, user-ability to jump between web pages, ability to create web pages swiftly, ability to go password-less on your Microsoft accounts, ease-of-collaboration, ability to keep tabs on website tabs, etc.
