Plano is inviting residents of all ages to help keep their city clean by volunteering for a community litter pickup around streams and city streets.
Groups of 25 or more are able to organize and pick up trash in a park, school or work campus, or an apartment community.
If you register your cleanup project with the city, rather than do it on your own, Plano will provide a bin filled with chest waders, gloves, pickup sticks, safety vests and trash and recycling bags.
To receive the supplies, online registration must be completed at least seven business days before the cleanup date.
The opportunity is not available for court-ordered community service hours, according to the city.
