I better drain the oil so it doesn't have a vacuum so i did get the oil out it came out pretty came off pretty easily for the record it's a 24 millimeter so pretty big honking uh bolt mine at least appears to have a magnetic um catch on it so that if there's any metal it'll catch it mine looks fairly clean so this bike has 12 750 miles on it so i wouldn't expect too much but it does look pretty good and i'll drain the rest of this oil of course wipe it down and put the new brass copper seal on here and put it back in and fill it up with oil and then put the well first i'll put the housing on housing cover this cover and then the oil i ran my finger with some foam air filter oilaround the new seal so that's nice and sealed up i guess there's only one way to put this on did i get really lucky and get it the first try out of curiosity let's see well that doesn't work no that might work too huh i'm used.
To hondas where there's only one way to put this on i guess BMW made it radially symmetrical all right i'll tighten that up now you're now perched on top of my honda i've got my drill at the weakest setting possible don't worry I'm not gonna grind down on these bolts i'm just gonna gently tighten them up and then i'll hand tighten them later i do have my drill on the weakest setting so as not to hurt it and i'm going very gently i don't want to just crank down on these it's probably all aluminum and not so strong so i'll hand tighten these in a sec just got a couple drips left to the oil almost done believe it or not the little attachment here the t20 5 attachment fell right into the drain the oil drain.
Air Filter Plus Tips
So i had to dump that out to filter out the the socket or the attachment here but anyway i got it out got these tightened up housing filters tightened up the main bolts tightened up so now we can put it in i think it's 2.3 liters i'll double check that but 2.3 liters of oil and then we can fire it up do a test ride after that i'll put on all the skid plate and side panel and stuff just to make sure everything's running before i button it up completely i already got my oil here alright i got my oil dirt bike air filter here and i find if i hold it sideways even with the handlebars in the way i don't need to use a funnel pour it sideways not too fast remember these are dry sump engines oh just as i was saying that these are dry sump so you can't fill them up all the way right away you gotta film up a little bit run the engine and then fill them up the rest of the way in as i was saying that i forgot went too fast and filled it up so anyway i'll fire it up wipe down the oil and then do the rest of the oil after it runs for a bit all right it's a few days later and my plan
Today we're going to be doing a little bit more maintenance on the four wheeler since I run an open air box my air filter cleaner definitely gets more dirty than a typical air filter would and right now I'm just running a stock foam when I don't have a can in and that's we're going to be doing today I'm going to be going over how to clean a foam air filter so the first thing I'm going to go ahead and do is just kind of inspect it and see how dirty and how worn the filter is and mine is pretty new so I don't think I'm going to get a new filter I'm just going to go ahead and remove it and show you guys how to clean it so they do make products to obviously clean air filters from the manufacturers but honestly I just used on I've always used done and it works pretty well so I got a bucket of about two gallons of water here and I'm going to square a couple drops in whoo I forgot to take the plastic insert out so I'm going to go ahead and do that quick just like that and you do want to fully submerge your air filter cleaner to clean it properly so we're just going to go ahead and put it in the dawn detergent water and you're going to want to let that soak for a few minutes just to let that dawn soak into the filter and react with the oil so let's let that soak for a few minutes and come back so one thing we can do while we wait is you can clean our air box out so let's go ahead and do that I'm just going to use a paper towel and I'm going to squirt some wd-40 on it just as a cleaner and Meyer box is probably a lot dirtier than yours because.
Cleaning Bike Air Filters The EASY Way!I run with my lid off so pros and cons I guess alright so now that we finish that up let's check back on our air filter and finish that up alright guys so now that the air filter cleaner has been soaking for about 10-15 minutes let's go ahead and try to clean it you want to do is just wring it out after it's been soaking and you'll see a bunch of nasty oil dose water will start to turn green or whatever color and you can see the oil floats at the top of the air filter cleaner here super dirty see if we can get some yeah there you go there's that oil so what you're going to want to do is just treat it like a washcloth you just want to going to squeeze it wring it out over and over again just not too rough just massage it try to get all that dirty oil out of it and you'll see the water just starts to turn a nasty color this water is pretty nasty and use you wring it out you'll be able to see the oil just fall right out of it yep there's the oil right on top you can see some on my hand there the dawn really does a good job of extracting all the oil out of the filter and and it cleans it really well so I'm just going to go ahead and keep ringing this filter out I'll probably do this twenty to thirty times and then I'm probably going to change the water and just get clean good fresh water again and then rinse it again just to be sure and get all that dirt and up dust that's really a deep and embedded in the filter the really fine stuff is the stuff that it's pretty hard to get out and is the most damaging to your engine because stuff gets into a lot of tight places and not good

But it'll be interesting because they're in cars and they're going to sort out their teams and of course with them being disabled.You've got people who are minus limbs disabled etc one of the guys jason's in the wheelchair so they're gonna have to work out the teams and and who can do what and what works if you get what i mean so they'll have to work out right okay if we need to change a wheel who who can do what bit and stuff like that and they make it work it's amazing what they can do the cars they're using are these dacha dusters which sounds like people like match dusters really well they did the what was it called the something rally karcher the capture couch already that's right they did that that was the first thing they they did in them and when they did it a lot of people were turned up with these thatchers and everyone's running all sorts of fandango vehicles you know they turned to these dutches their dutches dutches and people people looked at all that watch them totally ignored them and then they ran out on the first day and they got a third on the first day day one they said it was amazing how the dynamic changed in the uh in the pits people coming up so uh what are you running in there you know i'm really quite interested in it but they're just stock they were stock 1.5 liter engines we've now changed the suspension out give them a little bit more clearance more effective washable air filters suspension put winches on them on the stuff on the expedition cars and stuff like that and just gradually improving the cars but they're actually quite capable you'd be surprised you know okay it's got most of the guff out there in fact they're seeing enough have a look in there you can see if i do this without tipping.It all out see all this oh that's good this is all dirt that's caught in the oil and when it pulls it all out this all sits in the bottom andair filter cleaner this out every now and again just to clean it all out but that's just about clean i'm going to go rinse this off in some water so rinse off the water and then dry it out and then we're all ready okay we'll be back in a minute ta-da are we on yeah come on done now i've just reached out in water i'm just gonna put it in the sun to dry so i need to dry this out before i open it pop it up there great that'll dry out oil filters it's quickly with four-stroke bikes they will keep going forever if you keep changing the oil in it and keep fresh oiling just look after it and it'll look after you that fast it flew off well in fact no we need to look at the air uh the oil filler i'll get you move around me how's that yeah all right that makes sense so first thing i do is take this belly pan off my favorite all right let's recycle the boxes yeah.All this on i think clean underneath it did it barely no bulky remotely underneath ah i'll give it a good proposal that's a big but not like it is like this quite properly yeah this is not the most interesting bits is it oh drop that down i'll give that clean up separately now you'll notice there's loads of this stuff in here you're probably thinking aboutfoam air filter oil when you're on this bike full of phone well what this is big areas here that collect mud uh so mud gets stuffed underneath the the pan and stuff like that so actually you can get this fan that you put in there and it stops all the mud just congealing around there you can imagine in fact this was all packed full of mud that was all packed full he's probably got about two kilos plus some mud in there so it really it stops all this happening okay there's my sump plug but first i'm going to spark her up because i want to warm it up okay you want to get that that oil in there nice and fluid liquidy so let's warm it up uh so so oh okay that'll do it right so some plug come down.Here billy got to get down go down some knees some plug just leak there that here's what we're gonna do a little bit it's pretty nasty was the time to do that okay okay next thing we need to do is the oil filter then I'm gonna need an eight mil socket for that to come around this side this little piece dirt bike air filter here oh I'm gonna move that drip tray because you are going to get some oil coming out of this, hey you know oh I made a rippy glove it's all graphene okay that do that whatever you don't drop the nuts in there it's like the slack pit Sarlacc pit you know from like does it return the Jedi once it falls down in there and it gets digested over a thousand years or whatever it is and you ain't gonna be out there well you have to fiddle it all out there you go oh i got gunky oil nice Defoe needed doing it's a little bit of a fiddly getting these out.
