Asymptomatic patients precautions explained by Hospital

You must be heard of covid-19 patients who show no symptoms but suffered. Those people are called asymptomatic patients. If you are the one among them, don't panic and do your best to help your community stop the chain. The popular multispeciality hospital in Madurai, Devadoss Hospital has announced some precautions need to be followed.

Precautions need to be taken

  • Stay at home as far as possible, because COVID-19 spreads from person-to-person contact.
  • Avoid crowded places, because there are many asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic cases.
  • Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, because soap water kills the virus.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands, because it is the primary source of virus transmission.
  • Wear a mask when you move out of home because everyone feels safe.
  • Cover your face with a tissue or your elbow when coughing or sneezing, because it is cough etiquette.
  • Maintain at least six feet distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing, a CDC guideline.
  • Maintain six feet physical distance at public places, a CDC guideline.
  • Have proper ventilation by keeping windows open for some time, because COVID-19 is airborne.
  • Wear a mask whenever people gather indoors, other than family members because COVID-19 is airborne.
  • Maintain strong immunity with regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle, because the immune system fights with every invader.

Outside your home: Put 6 feet of distance between yourself and people who don’t live in your household. Remember that some people without symptoms may be able to spread viruses. Stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arm's length) from other people. Keeping distance from others is especially important for people who are at higher risk of getting very sick.

Cover coughs and sneezes

  • Always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow and do not spit.
  • Throw used tissues in the trash.
  • Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, clean your hands with a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

Monitor Your Health Daily

  • Be alert for symptoms. Watch for fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms of COVID-19. Especially important if you are running essential errands, going into the office or workplace, and in settings where it may be difficult to keep a physical distance of 6 feet.
  • Take your temperature if symptoms develop. Don’t take your temperature within 30 minutes of exercising or after taking medications that could lower your temperature, like acetaminophen.
