So, you are in the market for a new phone? Well, your friends and family have upgraded to the latest tech, and you feel you should too. Right? Maybe not. Choose the best for yourself. The Only Smartphone Buying Guide You Need is right here!

Yes, this article is a smartphone buying guide. But first, let’s decide whether you truly need a new phone or not? Many of us tend to change our smartphones before they reach the end of their life. Life here means how long they function and not the arrival of their successors. A smartphone’s life is determined by how long it completes all your tasks without causing you a hassle.

If you’re thinking about changing your smartphone, take a look at this list, which tells you when you should really change your device.

You need a new smartphone if:
  • Your phone needs to be charged multiple times a day: If the charger is a thing you can’t afford to forget, it’s time you switch to a new device.
  • If you dare not post any photos or videos on social media: You don’t feel like revisiting your pictures and videos, as they look like they were taken from a decade-old device.
  • The phone takes forever to function: I once used a Samsung device that did not register the numbers on the dial pad right away. So, I used to dial all the numbers, and after ten seconds, the final number would appear. It was a cool thing to show to my friends, but highly frustrating nevertheless.
  • If people do not recognize your phone: You go to a party or a family function and see that you are the center of attraction. And the reason? You are pressing buttons on your phone while they are touching their screens. The audacity! Well, not really. Though a feature phone does the job for many, the smartphone is the way to go if you are looking for an overall better experience.

These are the cases where you should get a new device, no matter what

But in some cases, it is better to get your phone fixed. Like, if your screen is cracked, just get a new one. There may be times when you’d need to add new components to the phone. Like, when the storage is full(considering that your phone has a micro SD slot). Also, if parts like the headphone jack or the charging port are not working, it is better to get them replaced than buying a new smartphone.

If you are still here with me, I think it’s high time you need a new device. So, let’s figure out which phone is the right one for you.

With the fast-changing technology world, one thinks that the latest is the best. Well, it can be, but not the best for them.

The right smartphone varies for everyone, depending on their needs. For example, you would not get your grandparents the latest iPhone unless they need it, or you have truckloads of money lying around. Grandparents usually are not tech-savvy, and they tend to drop things. So, the latest iPhone would be more of a nuisance to them then a useful piece of tech.

However, you can get them am older generation or two iPhone, and they will be just fine.

The same logic applies to someone who works a lot on their phone. They can do their job with a budget android, but getting a flagship just makes more sense. It will increase productivity, in-turn making it worth the money.
