Who is Training the Trainers in Education Technologies?

It is not uncommon for schools nowadays to have access to a wide range of educational devices. Many public school systems can enhance their students’ learning with interactive whiteboards, laptops, wireless slate devices, software, amplification systems, and document cameras.

While being able to teach students about technology and how to utilize it is fantastic, general education instructors are increasingly being challenged to teach students about a variety of technology topics. What if the teachers don’t know any more (or even less) than the kids they’ll be instructing? Students and teachers may find this to be a difficulty

Many states have implemented or are seeking to implement technology standards at all levels of public education. These guidelines serve a vital function. While we want children to be able to learn about technology, we also want to ensure that there is a scope and sequence. Teaching elementary school children how to use a keyboard and mouse is just as important as teaching middle school students about online predators and internet safety. Teachers can ensure that there are no earning gaps for the children by providing specified developmentally appropriate themes at each grade level.

It is also critical to have qualified personnel to educate our youngsters. When a standard educated teak person is required to undertake this function, he may not consider himself to be technologically savvy. If the instructor is of a previous generation, she may feel intimidated and unable to accurately teach the subject if she has not been adequately taught.

If districts expect teachers to implement technology standards, they should also provide additional staff development opportunities at all levels for everyone to participate. It’s only right to be fair to both the teacher and the students.

Keeping up with the children has become quite a challenge for anyone who works with kids on a regular basis, with so many new Internet etiquette regulations. Students are frequently more technologically advanced than the class leader. This is problematic in a number of ways. Teachers must accept the challenge of staying one step ahead of the game by reading trade publications and contacting their district’s technology directors for the most up-to-date technology information. Adults will be better prepared to face this new learning channel with confidence if they are informed about current events.
