Best Air Fryer Salmon Recipe

This Air Fryer Salmon is incredibly flaky and delectable. You're going to adore the delectable salmon rub that adds so much flavor to this recipe!

If you want to pair your salmon with some sides, try these delectable Air Fryer baked potatoes and air fryer asparagus.

Air Fryer Salmon Recipe Specifications Flavor– If you enjoy the taste of baked salmon and seafood rub, this recipe is for you. Fresh fish rubbed with brown sugar and smoked paprika salmon rub imparts an irresistible smokey-sweet flavor.

The salmon's exterior has a crisp crust, while the interior is moist and flaky, which pairs incredibly well with crispy baby potatoes or roasted vegetables.
Ease– This recipe is ridiculously simple! Simply season the fish, place it in the air fryer, and cook. That is all!

Time– My salmon fillets weighed six ounces each and cooked in just under ten minutes. Additionally, there is almost no prep time, making this a super-fast recipe! The air fryer circulates hot air around the entire piece of fish, quickly cooking it without causing it to dry out.

What You'll Need

  • Olive oil is used to coat the salmon fillets with seasonings.
  • Garlic - freshly pressed garlic is sprinkled on top to enhance the flavor.
  • Seasoning– Rub with a mixture of paprika, thyme, brown sugar, salt, and pepper called Love Salmon Rub.

How to do it

  • Season salmon with salt and pepper. Olive oil, pressed garlic, salmon rub, and salt are used to season the salmon (to taste).
  • Combine 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1/4 teaspoon thyme, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, and 1 teaspoon brown sugar to make your own salmon rub.
  • Spritz the air fryer basket/sheet with oil. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray if using an oven-type air fryer. If the air fryer has a basket, simply spray the basket with cooking spray.
  • Cook. Cook the salmon for 15 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit if using an oven air fryer. If you have an air fryer with a basket, cook it for 10 minutes on one side and then 7 minutes on the other. Then, either with a few lemon wedges or plain, serve your flaky air fryer salmon.

Recipe Suggestions

  • Salmon fillet size– Select similar-sized salmon fillets to ensure that they cook evenly and finish baking at the same time.
  • Pat it dry– blot the fillets with a paper towel to ensure the spices adhere better

Check for doneness

Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the fish and check that it reaches a minimum temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
Serving– serve this salmon with starchy side dishes such as creamy mashed potatoes or tortellini alfredo.

When Is Salmon Done?

The best way to determine when salmon is done is to use a meat thermometer to check its internal temperature. Salmon is cooked when it reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit. If you lack a meat thermometer, have no fear! Additionally, you can determine this by examining its color.

Salmon in its raw state is translucent and reddish. As a result, when cooked, it should take on an opaque pink color. It should be completely pink near the end of the cooking time.

Is Frozen Salmon an Option?

Yes! Frozen (seasoned) salmon fillets can be cooked in the preheated air fryer in the same manner as fresh salmon. Simply increase the cooking time by a few minutes to ensure that the fish is thoroughly cooked.
