Dragonfly Aerospace Space Engineering Cubesat Cameras Is Vital

Dragonfly Aerospace is a company involved in the production of space hardware for the United States Department of Defense. Dragonfly Aerospace has produced its own line of engineering cubesat cameras as well as their signature "CubeSat" series. The cubes that they produce, the Dragonfly I & II, are designed for a number of specific uses. The first, and most common use is to act as an optical observation platform. The information from this type of CubeSat is transmitted back to Earth through the atmosphere, where it is received and analyzed by ground-based telescopes.

Another way that this type of engineering cubesats is used is to collect and transmit data, be it from the Earth or space, back to the ground stations. Most often, the data from these CubeSats is used to track weather patterns, to study the space weather, and to study the location of various celestial objects. All of this is done using cameras that are small and can be fit into many different cameras that are already on-board Dragonfly Aerospace's fleet of satellites.

Cubesat Cameras Is Vital

Some of the cameras that are included with Dragonfly Aerospace's I & II series are the Paracorr, or the Thermal imaging camera, and the R-cycle or the Riedel camera. These two types of cameras have been specifically designed to operate at high speeds and to record video in full color. They are also capable of operating in low light as well. All of these images are then transferred to software on the ground, where artists and researchers can use them to study the effects of space weather on the Earth.

While this may seem like a rather technical description of the way that information is gathered and transferred, one need not be a space scientist to comprehend. It is, in fact, fairly simple. The data that is collected by these CubeSats is then returned to the ground station through the air traffic control system. Once there, the information can be processed by the space flight control team for analysis.

Part of the reason why this is such an important job for Dragonfly Aerospace is because of the need to collect as much information as possible about space. In addition, the information gathered by the CubeSats will help engineers and scientists better understand the operation of the Space Station and how it is being maintained. This is important because if the Space Station was not maintained properly, it would not perform its mission, which means that we could lose our ability to observe space from earth.

At the same time, using Dragonfly Aerospace's engineering cubesat cameras is vital because it helps us learn more about the universe. Astronomy books and research reports typically include photographic plates of our solar system and the stars. By using the infrared technology included in the cameras, we can learn more about the makeup and composition of other space objects. This is especially important when studying faraway objects that we have only seen with the naked eye.
