Top 3 dining experiences in Thailand

If I had a dollar for every time someone told me 'make sure you have enough travel insurance when you go to Asia' I would be pretty rich today. Overall though, this is good advice, but when it comes to food, you shouldn't have a problem when traveling to Thailand.

People travel to Thailand for many reasons. The shopping is fantastic and cheap, the people are wonderfully friendly, warm and generous, and the food is to die for. In fact, if you are looking for a complete culinary experience, you will have a hard time finding a more accommodating destination than Thailand.

It seems that life there revolves around food and there are no set meal times other than what tourists impose on themselves, although they always have breakfast, lunch and dinner at some point. I have the impression that Thais tend to eat when they are hungry and are used to snacking throughout the day, and this is a habit that can certainly be recommended.

Thai food has been influenced not only by Western visitors, but also by Chinese and other styles from Southeast Asia. Born out of Buddhist traditions, Thai food developed around the large amount of seafood and vegetables available in almost every part of Thailand and of course rice.

Narrowing down the Thai food options and recommending the best dining experiences you can hope for is really very difficult. Everyone's taste is influenced by his own experience, and hopefully for each traveler there will be several unexpected dining experiences that will linger in the memory, but if you don't like spicy food, try sticking to it. the hamburgers!

So let's take a look at at least three things you must try with every meal the next time you visit.

* Breakfast. You should try a breakfast dish called Joke. No, that is not a misprint, and it is a delicious dish consisting of rice and pork porridge. If this is too heavy for you, try Khao Mun Khai, which is a simple chicken and rice dish that is sure to give you a kick at the start of the day. If you're feeling a little bad and looking for something a little more western, just order Kai Jee-o, which is a very simple omelette อาหารไทยราคาถูก.

* Lunch. I just love the egg noodle soup served with pork and veggies, or just veggies if you're not sure about the quality of the meat. It's a simple, hearty, and inexpensive dish that you can find at almost any street vendor. Alternatively, why not give Pad Pak a try, something you could have tried at home, but great to try when the locals have made it? Pad Bai Kha Praew is a pretty spicy chicken and basil dish, but delicious nonetheless. By the way, you don't need to worry about the quality of meat in Thailand as it is of a very high standard so you won't have to claim your holiday insurance.

* Dinner. Som-Tam is a fantastic papaya salad that begins a memorable dining experience. Follow up with Pla-muk neung ma-nao, steamed squid with lemon and chili.
